Mission Statement

Mission:

Saint Joseph Parish School, an educational ministry of Saint Joseph Parish Church, offering Preschool through 8th Grade, welcomes families of all faiths who accept its Catholic philosophy and mission. Saint Joseph Parish School provides a  positive presence within the North Sacramento area with a warm, caring, safe and faith-filled environment. The school exists  to inspire Christ-like values, achieve academic excellence in order to establish the foundation for success in future educational endeavors   and foster social awareness in the students.

Philosophy:

St. Joseph Parish School strives to educate the whole child so that “The light of faith will illumine the knowledge which students gradually gain of the world, of life and of humankind” (Vatican II Document on Education). We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children and that the function of the school is to serve as their partner in formally extending and supporting this process.  

We encourage the students to strive for academic excellence, discover, develop and appreciate his/her God given talents.   We strive to implement a program that recognizes and addresses the needs and dignity of each child because we are all children of God and “have a dignity of their own. They are important not only for what they will do in the future, but for what they are here and now” (Sharing the Light of Faith, #181). We strive to develop our students into men and women of faith.
